IS this the worst Ferrari paint job in history?
Gun cyclist, four time Paris-Roubaix winner and 2007 Tour de France sprint jersey winner Tom Boonen now owns the most horrifically over-the-top Ferrari F430 the world has ever seen, after allowing a cartoonist to go to town on it.
The motorised art piece, which was traditional Ferrari red until it went under the brush, features dolphins, horses, pandas and even a picture of Boonen’s own face.
The cartoonist responsible, Jeroom, said he’d had a whale of a time creating his turquoise masterpiece.
“If you do that, you might as well get it right. In the garage, they already call it the ugliest car they’ve ever seen,” he said.
“He has to drive around with it for a year. Fortunately for him, he goes with that Ferrari rarely on public roads.”
To be fair, the paint job was completed on the proviso that it be for a good cause, with the Move To Improve charity featuring prominently on the car.
