Leanda Cave, Ironman World Champion and Ironman 70.3 World Champion in 2012, has another win for her record, this time at the Miami Half-Marathon.

Cave covered the 13.1 mile course in a time of 1:26:52 to take the tape and title. Afterwards, she commented on Facebook: ‘I think it’s easier to run 13.1miles after a 56mile bike! That was tough!’. The race forms part of Leanda’s preparations for the Commonwealth Games, where she hopes to join Non Stanford and Helen Jenkins in the formidable looking Wales team.

Leanda Cave wasn’t the only long distance triathlete involved in half-marathon action this weekend, with Stephen Bayliss winning the Lanzarote Music Half Marathon and Yvette Grice winning the Eastbourne Half Marathon.
