Greg Henderson is eyeing the possibility of riding professionally in his 40s.

The 37-year-old has two years remaining on his contract with Belgian World Tour team Lotto-Belisol, leading out German sprinter Andre Greipel.

Henderson says he’d like to have an opportunity to ride and direct beyond that.

He says he’s talked with Lotto about possibly riding and directing as it’s the best way to help up and coming riders.

Greg Henderson had surgery on Monday to remove scar tissue from his right knee and won’t race until March next year.
